A Continuous Professional Development (CPD) accredited seminar aimed at doctors of all specialities from general practitioners to consultants. This seminar is relevant to those who are already medico-legal experts, and those who wish to become an expert. This will also be invaluable to lawyers, legal executives, solicitors, junior barristers and paralegals as well as claims management company staff, who are unfamiliar with obtaining, using, preparing and giving medico-legal evidence.
This will be a lively and interactive seminar presented by Judith Kelbie, solicitor, accredited mediator and partner at Lyons Davidson, and Jonathan Dingle, barrister and accredited mediator specialising in personal injury. The course is designed to develop the skills needed to become a successful expert witness and covers the role of medical evidence, the duties of an expert, report structure and content, giving evidence in court and witness box skills. It also covers the most recent changes in the law affecting medical experts.
The half day seminars, with lunch and an opportunity to participate in an informative open question session, will be hosted at venues in England and Wales at the following locations: |
